I was a cadet when they took us down to Whidby Island about 1967 . Joined the Canadian reserves in 1972 ,retired in 2012. We trained sometimes in Fort Lewis . Could have gone into some battles overseas but had a full time job on the ships which saved my bacon.

USAF 1964-1984. Same 'non-combat' organization the whole time. Did get to evacuate from Tehran when the Shah "retired".
I don't have too many guns, I just need a bigger safe.

Hey, Rakkasan. Your "handle" jumped out at me. Our son served as the fires control officer for the 101/3rd Brigade for three years. He's moved on to another posting since then.
