Just a FYI...
I spoke to a MidwayUSA rep yesterday about an order that was shipped to me on Oct 31st. It left Columbia, MO and went to the St Louis hub then it went to the Springfield, MO hub. She told me USPS had experienced a chemical spill at one of their Missouri facilities and were redirecting mail elsewhere. Why my package wasn't redirected to a hub in IL is anyone's guess. I live in Indiana.

Same issues here. Seems it's been a "hit or miss" mess for about two months.

A part purchased from upstate NY headed to a facility in CT (90mi away) went to MA, GA, TX, MA then to CT. Took 11 days. Should have just sent a driver.

I think the postal service is experiencing some sort of simultaneous universal aneurysm and diarrhea right now. I sent a check from Oregon to South Dakota for some engraving work last month. It took 15 days 🤦♂️

I sold a S&W 610 here that shipped Priority last Saturday. It took 3 days to hit the distribution center 50 miles away. It did not move from there as of yesterday(another 3 days). I checked with a clerk where it shipped from yesterday. No good reason given for the delay. Today it is at it's destination facility.

I think we are all experiencing the same lame performance from USPS. Just when you think it can't get any worse - it does. If it is really important or valuable, I use one of the non-government shippers. - T.S.

And yet I recently sent a package USPS Ground Advantage (which is supposedly the slowest shipping) from Idaho to North Carolina and it made it in 3 days. It seems to be the luck of the draw.

Ordered fencing supplies from SC on 10/30. Package showed at my local USPS PO on 11/1 (4 miles from my house). Since 11/5 it has been "Enroute to next destination." Still waiting for USPS and the vendor to figure out what they are going to do.

As I've told many members that have purchased from me ALWAYS get a tracking# and even then " ANYTHING is possible with the Post Office" I hope for the best with that outfit

The things I've shipped and received have actually been on time or early for the last month or two

There seems to be a language barrier at the Post Office, ebonics you know, plus slow witted unmotivated workers equals delays out the gazoo ! Many packages take a "lap of America" before being delivered.

I sent a package from Albany NY to Long Island and it said it was out for delivery. Stayed that way forever and the guy said he never got it, who knows but the status never changed. It was a low end item so I never insured it, my mistake. But it stayed as " Out for Delivery" well over a month. Post Office had no explanation. God forbid they actually question the Mailman , Oh I mean Mail Person.
