If you were going to build a 22 cal. coyote rifle tomorrow, which barrel company would you contact and why?
Thanks,
Landrum.

Slam dunk for me it'd be a Schneider.
Why, I've been around a lot of tubes from a lot of different makers and it has been my experience that Gary's tubes are as good as they're gonna get.

Landrum: I have been VERY happy with all the custom barrels I have purchased and use in my 22 caliber Rifles. My Rifles, with Shilen, Hart, Lilja, Douglas and Pac-Nor barrels all shoot quite well, clean easily, give long durations of shot strings til any accuracy drop off is noted and they all seem to be capable of easily obtaining good accuracy with my handloads (in other words they all seem to shoot various loadings very well!). If I were putting together a Coyote specific Rifle and the Riflesmith I was going to use for the work had a barrel in any of the above brands in stock I would not hesitate to use it. Best of luck with your new Rifle project. Hold into the wind VarmintGuy

No Problem. Never met Ron actually. I can vouch that his son, who makes barrels with him, can drink pretty good though .

Hart for stainless, and Douglas for CM. Many years of good results from the two.
