5th grade Ft Worth Tx. Our minister Granville Walker, University Christian Church gave the prayer at JFK’s prayer breakfast at the Blackstone Hotel that morning. We watch live TV of the shooting in Dallas. Our teacher turned off the TV.

13 years old and in 7th grade. Friday afternoon and I played hooky and went hunting for rabbits with my grandfather and Duke the beagle. Had a Savage Model 42. Remember the feeling in my gut when we got back to my grandmothers house at dusk and learned that JFK had been shot. Some days are just indelibly etched in one’s psyche.

4 years old. I just remember the tv showing his funeral rather than playing my cartoons. I was pissed.

5th grade class and the radio started broadcasting over the intercom. School was let out and when I got home Walter Cronkite was on the tv news.

7th grade in a catholic school in or near Patuxent river Maryland where my dad was stationed. The nun was called out of the classroom for a few minutes, she returned and told the class jfk had been shot. A few minutes later, same thing only she announced he died. We were all herded to the adjoining church where the father spoke for several minutes, then school was canceled for the remainder of the day. My only year in a catholic school. Those nuns didn't play.

Lackland AFB at Basic training. The whole base went on alert and I knew the Russians were going to attack. Back to normal a couple days later.

7th grade. The principal announced we should return to our home rooms immediately. Ten minutes later, he told us what had happened and sent us home for the day. Believe it was around 1:30.

In 8th grade and outside for recess. Cold, blustery day and the teacher sat in her car to keep warm and heard it on the radio. She was crying when she called us inside and told us the president had been shot.

I was in the second grade at recess, in Sheffield, AL. We were called back to our classrooms early. Our teacher, Mrs. Loveless, told us that President Kennedy had been shot. They let us out of school early. Seems like just a few minutes later, I was about two blocks from school, walking to my grandparent's home, when a lady came running out of her house yelling to her husband that JFK had died.

John Fitzgerald Kennedy was shot from The Texas School Book Depoitory in Dallas Texas at @ 10:20 am Pacific Standard Time on Friday November 22 ,1963. I was in grade 6 in a small town Northern B.C. The Principal came over the loud speaker and told us . We were let out for recess right then and there.

6th grade, Immaculate Conception School. I was pushing a cart loaded with trays and utensils back to the kitchen, so I could wash and sanitize them. Roughly noon. I wasn't on KP - just used to work in the cafeteria for meals, and saved my lunch money.
