I’ve got Forbes 20B in 7MM-08 with tan stock and stainless barrel. I was gonna give it to my son but this is a right handed rifle and he ended up shooting as a lefty. So I’ve thought about selling or trading it.

I can’t find any comps on model 20 sales within the last couple years. I bought it as new old stock and haven’t done anything with it. What’s a fair value? Anyone have a left hand Forbes you’d want to trade?

You might do better than $2500 if you could attest to the weight and accuracy. What people are generally paying for in a Forbes rifle is both these, and condition. The RH "Forbes" Model 20 NULA rifles now being manufactured by Wilson Combat start at $3200. I don't see them offering a LH.

The weight should be under 5 lbs, so the other question is accuracy. I have seen the go between $950 and $2000.

Closer to 5 1/2# in my experience.

I think I paid 1300 for my 20b 308. Probably on the low end, I think it was a pretty good deal.

I also picked up my fieldcraft for 1100 and look at that market now... so who knows.

Thank you all for the responses. I’ll try to get a weight on it. As I told someone in a PM I’d much rather trade for a left handed Forbes but I realize that may be hard to find.

And yep I’m a fool for selling my Fieldcraft back just before the market shot up on them. They are fine rifles but I didn’t like the feel of their stocks near as well as the Forbes.

I sold one last year for $1800 which was what the market was bearing at the time.
