A good one is worth his weight in gold . A bad one is not worth a pinch of schit . A full body massage will do wonders .

To avoid needing him in the future..
I kept going for quite awhile after for adjustments.
Once a month I'd go.
Worth every penny.

This is about my exact experience, but am still going twice a month. A sports therapy massage, shiatsu, or similar really helps.

I used to think they were bullshyte until I hurt my back lifting something heavy at 35yrs, friend suggested I visit one, I did and went in there humped over like a dog fugging a football, came out standing up and it was a wtf moment.

He explained what I had done. Since then.....I have seen other Chiropractors when I was away from home working in Construction and they have a different technique for sure. The original fellow was and still is the best of the 3 I have visited in over 25 years, I haven't been there in 6 years.

They don't just do backs and necks, I had a serious case of tendonitis in my arm, 6 months of agony, he grabbed my arm and manipulated my wrist, then my shoulder, then had me straighten my arm (which was really painful) and noticed me sweating instantly, he turned it abit and felt it instantly felt better. It was about 3 days and it was 100%, that was 15 years ago. My go to guy has shown me a less intrusive way to fix a tendonitis issue.

I only went when I had to and never signed up for any regular visits, my experience with them has been positive.

If its just an alignment issue, chiro can help.
Some are quacks though.

My ex went to some new fangled chiro her coworkers raved about. Hundreds $ later no relief.
Said they were all quacks. Months later and miserable, i said for the hundreth time.........go see my guy.

She reluctantly went.

Gently got her fixed in 3 visits.
..................

My kid had an injury and problems after, had to go to spinal place, injections/PT........still not right after months.
Chiro elsewhere fixed her, in no chit, 15 mins.

To say she was pissed about being miserable for 2 months and having to play the game...........understatement.

After going to chiropractors for a long time, but unable to keep me from having to go back, I found much better relief from physical therapy. PTs actually can assess where you problem originates, and give you strengthening/stretching exercises to fix it.

I've seen one as needed for 20 years. Usually just a few times a year. It usually improved things.

A couple of years ago I was in near agony daily. My lower back was killing me at the beltline, and I figured that the arthritis I had acquired as a careless teenager had finally caught up with me in my 50's and after 30+ years of being a tradesman. I thought my working days were rapidly coming to an end and our lifestyle was going to go from getting by to worse.

After not seeing the chiropractor for many months, I went in for an adjustment. He noticed that I was "out" in a specific area and adjusted it. I felt better immediately and with 2 or 3 more consecutive visits, I was back to 95%.

I know a lot of folks view it as a form of quackery, and maybe in some cases it is, but for me it took me from barely being able to work, to being back to my normal 50-something self.

Been to 3 or 4 different ones over the years. Always helped me out but I don’t need a 52 visit plan lol

Tell them you don’t have insurance and ‘scam-wow’ factor goes way down

Try to pay as you go, usually 10 or so visits got me back to tolerable pain limits.

Yes, and yes. Well mostly. Some - let me repeat SOME - chiropractors are quacks. Same is true of most medical specialties. But get a good one and they can work miracles.

I've had chiropractors fix things in one session that months of going to doctors / orthopedists / physical therapy didn't address.

If you've got a muscular / skeletal issue, give one a try.

I’ve been to the “is this where……KAPOW….it hurts” chiropractors and left happy.

I’ve been to the “come back twice a week at $50/pop” chiropractors and felt I got screwed. Never again.

Wife’s best friend is here right now, she’s a chiropractor, her office front door adorned with Anti-Covid vax flyers and Lifetime NRA membership sticker, more right wing than me. She’s a KAPOW chiropractor for the most part and it’s came in handy having her around when the neck or shoulder are locked up.

Love my chiropractor
I have thrown my back out a few times to the point that I was basically crippled. Two visits to the chiropractor and he had me back to normal
