I have a stainless sporter profile barrel on a model 70 and I was looking at putting a barrel band swing swivel on it. I am aware these are traditionally silver soldered on but I’m not particularly keen on the finish damage that can occur.
I have read some about epoxy being a viable method of securing one and I figured I would see if anyone here has used epoxy to secure one to the barrel and if so, what all the process entails and how easily a novice in gunsmithing could attempt to do this himself.
Thanks for any responses.

I haven't used 380, but I've set several barrel liners with 660. 3,800 shear strength.

Well this is a fine pickle we're in, should'a listened to Joe McCarthy and George Orwell I guess.

Black Max works very well. Just layout and know exactly where you want things. In my experience you don't get second chances to adjust things after it sets. And it sets pretty quickly.
