Im consideting take a trip to Harrisburg, PA in February to attend the Great American Outdoor Show.

I’m assuming there are sone folks on this forum who have gone on the past. I’d be curious to hear thoughts and experiences. Is two full days enough to take it in?

Plenty. Nice show. Much better since the NRA took over. Be sure and hit the pickle seller.

Be sure to use some back roads if you go. PA has some very nice country. But like all the US you need to get out past the big box centers of development

I used to only shoot shotguns and rimfires, then I made the mistake of getting a subscription to handloader.......

I think I’ll just stay here and drink, and try and shoot some predators……..

Knew some guys who never missed it, Tiffany fans (or maybe secret Lee fans🤭)

Two days is plenty of time. Go midweek if you can - weekends can get pretty crowded.

Definitely mid-week. I go about every year, just for the experience, although I make sure to visit my outfitter from my 2019 hunt in Wyoming. And the firearms hall is always nice.

I went the first few years, mostly because it was something to do at a time of year when there isn't much to do. Haven't been in a few years. Was thinking of going again this year with my nephew who's relatively new to hunting, mostly because like I said, it's something to do.

How much time you need depends on you. I've gone with people who were bored and ready to go in two hours. lol
Honestly I think two days at the show is probably way too much time. I've always seen what I wanted in far less than a whole day, though if I were alone I might have stayed longer and looked more at certain things. Your interests will dictate it obviously. Huge fishing section, huge archery section, big outfitter section, but if you don't care about those things...
