Got in a bit of a fire fight with my Vudoo this last weekend and barely kept up with the American Eagle bulk ammo (17fps ES on this batch) vs the full on bench guns with their 80 lb rests w tuners. Switched over to RWS Rifle Match and was banging the smallest KYL target (1/4") at 100 yards with alarming regularity.

Most of these guys have sent their rifles to Lapua or Eley to have them lot tested. The games have switched to bulls vs groups since I was beating them 10 years ago. I don't wanna get off in the weeds with the ammo, but I'd like to find something that hangs with that RWS Rifle Match without spending $800 a brick.

What are you boys shooting in your Vudoos?

You're not gunna like my answer....

SK rifle match does well for me

But the high end stuff is better for sure...just fewer fliers

I'm still working through some Federal UM...but as that's not made anymore...

As I said ..I'm no help.

Have you tried the Norma stuff? It shoots well above it's price point

I have a bit of Norma Tac, but not enough.

If I could lay into more of that RWS Rifle Match I probably would.

Tac and tac Match have always been pretty solid.

And ordering directly from Norma has been the best pricing lately

Dude who shoots NRL22 says he shoots RWS R50 because the SD was under 7 and he can get a lot of it as lapua distributors are limiting the amount they’ll sell.

Hig you know as well as anybody blanket statements about .22 ammo are just empty threats but here I go….

The higher end Lapua offerings shoots best in the vudoos

Center X would be more than adequate, I don’t think you need to go Midas

That being said I don’t buy $2,000 cases of .22 ammo and rather rely on finding what shoots best out of the sales and deals I greedily gobble up..

Do you have something in mind you want to try?

I’d be more than happy to send you a brick of tac or tac match or federal ultra match or SK rifle match if you wanna mess around

I’m not surprised those other cheap CA [bleep] didn’t offer same

Cert,

They probably would have. Hell, I was bragging up Stingers all day and making em laugh at the notion.

Slinging eight or nine rounds and dancing around the bull with the intention of taking their money next time was fugging hilarious!

Hell, none had ever heard of a Vudoo except one.

When I let some rando shoot the 100 yard KYL a few times they were getting a bit wise before I shut it down.

Don't wanna spend R50 money this time out or hassle with putting them all in Stinger boxes...

Lot variation is always the concern.

Schidt, I'm gonna talk myself into some Midas....

I’m hip..

Sk rifle match is a pretty damn solid option but last time shooting I grabbed my T1x and it was like oil and water

SK was making Wolf back in the day if memory serves.

Appreciate the ammo offer. I bet I've got a few things laying around from back in the day if I get to looking, but the problem is you can't get anymore from that lot.

Damn rimfire schidt anyways....

I shoot an Anschutz 54 Match. I use Eley Match (black box), $15.50/box from Killough's. I have out shot some of the VooDoo boys more than a few times.

Still have a 54 but it's more fun calling the Vudoo "Old Betsy" if you savy...

I’ve got a 54 that prefers the black box eley as well..

The vudoo shoots it well but the Annie gets a slight nod with that particular fodder

Rivertown Munitions just delivered me a case of TAC 22 for around $37 per brick. Best price I found anywhere.
