Just another attention whore who makes outlandish claims to get attention and fame.

I don't know if he's on somebodies speed dial or not...he misses enough stuff to seem authentic. The Langley folks seem to miss everything, lol.
Ziehan badly blew the dire predictions of fertilizer shortages, cold winter and starving times because of the Uke war. On the other hand, his predictions of China's export market crash, verified from several widely different sources seems spot on...too many sources are showing empty containers stacked 10 high in Ningbo, Shenzen, Shanghai etc....no freight outbound. Factory workers laid off in huge numbers, returning to their home provinces. And you gotta admit, he was the first one to point out China's disaster with the one child policy...and the resulting demographic collapse.

He does a good job of sounding like he knows "how to connect the dots"... I don't have enough insight into how to separate the wheat from the chaff though.

We'll see how his predictions on BRICS currency work out. He claims it's a pretty much a non starter. One of the good points he made was that NOBODY trusts China, because...China has as much currency as the central government says it has. Nobody gets a look at the books. As a BRICS currency partner, you WILL accept the value of the Yuan as quoted, you will NOT question. China has a trillion loaned on 'belt and road', and more defaults and writeoffs coming every week.
And as far as Russia, 11th in gdp is concerned, the state of California still has a higher GDP, Bloomberg thinks California could overtake Germany for #4 spot.
Ol Pete might be annoyingly full of himself, but he is right often enough where the prudent person should at least listen. IMO.

Yep, worthwhile listening too, and then evaluating. But it utterly grates on me that he’s passing himself off as some sort of China hand, but can’t pronounce the names of significant Chinese individuals to save his life.

But this latest bit on X/Twitter - he just lost a [bleep]-ton of credibility there…

He’s a green energy supporter. He’s also a good moderator thats wrong about half the time. I stopped listening to him months ago and haven’t missed anything.
