Thanks again to everybody!

It also occurred to me that I met Rick Bin around the same time I met Rick "RinB" Dredge--and have probably spent about the same amount of time with both Ricks.

Mr. Bin is also a confirmed rifle loony, one reason this site continues to work well, after all these years....

Wishing you all the best on your birthday; which, if my memory is somewhat accurate, is it not the big seven-oh this year? Because I seem to recall from past threads on here that I have 3 years on you. Here's hoping that you hang around here in your semi-retirement and continue to enlighten and educate all of us on all aspects of rifle looneyism. It's great being able to occasionally communicate with one of my favorite gun scribes. One whose many years of experience and vast knowledge can be easily accessed. Unless it concerns a particular rifle cartridge known as the 444 Marlin, which you once confessed to have no experience with. So you get kudos for honesty, and I guess you just got too busy experimenting with .45-70's according to your posts. My CVA Scout V2 in 444 is currently in its first hunting season and no deer so far. Looking to make this my woodland whitetail thumper without the overkill factor of a 45-70. It even has a nice muzzle brake, which we senior citizens like. Enjoy your birthday and if I connect with a deer, I will report on it. All I can tell you now is that its current hunting load launches a 265 gr. Hornady FTX at just under 2100 FPS with accuracy. Stay tuned.
