Looking to buy a couple Mountain rifles in .280, 30-06, or .270. Only interested in wood or laminate stock models, but do not care if its hinged floor plate or dbm. Thanks!

I have a 270 and 06 DBM, both "shooter" grade with some dings and scratches but are seasoned deer killers. Both have bases and rings, no scopes. If they are of interest I can get you pictures tomorrow.

Sweet! I can never "hoard" enough factory wood. When I croak the bonfire will be epic.

If still in market after 160user guns...let me know. I have .270 in blue/wood hinged floor plate I would sell. It's early model in late 80s....no rust or pitting. Wood shows some hunting wear but in very good condition.

The Mountain Rifle stock on the late 80's 700s is considered the best wood stock Remington ever made. I would tend to agree with this. Everything else is just bigger and heavier.

Hmmmm - haven’t had a chance to fire the .280 I picked up in early November. Even have a Kahles 2-7x36 set to mount on it. Not sure I’d feel right about pealing it so fast but the safe is full of other options.
