I'm fixing to try some 140 tipped game kings in my 6.5x284. How do they compare to the untipped in terminal performance? I grabbed 1000 so i hope i like them.

I would like to know as well.

I have a bunch of 130s loaded up for my 6.5 PRC, but haven’t tried them yet.

Have killed two deer with 125 gr GC in 30-06
One a full sized doe , neck shot , good god the gaping wound it ripped
The other a yearling behind the shoulders and preformed much like your regular cup and core bullet demolishing the lungs
For this particular rifle they shot 3/4” groups and that was without a lot of load development
Read somewhere that seating worked best close to lands and set with in a couple thousandths off
Don’t remember details at the moment

The 165s are great out of my 7-08 AI. Usually find it buried in the opposite side hide if it doesn’t exit.

I have killed multiple bucks with the 130 Gamechanger at creed speeds.

Bullet acts like about all other lead bullets at creed speeds.

I’m shootings the 140s out of my 6.5-06 with a 8 twist at 2800 A sample of three bucks from a 100 to 229 yds all drt and 8 coyotes from 200 to 525 yds all drt. I got one jacket back with the core gone but it exited and (I actually found it behind the knives when cleaning the grinder up.)Impact is pretty violent but the bullet seems to be hard enough to get the job done.

As I recall, if you use gamechangers, GC's, you should have Sierra on speed dial so when you can't get to the deadfall where you shot the critter ya have to call Sierra & scream about a fail.

Epic thread, I had to bring it up.

Yeah, GC';s have been scarce since introduced & not a lot of experiences with them are noted. Good concept, just not available.

Blue Collar definitely worth keeping an eye on. Their inventory varies like all the rest , but that seem to stay on top of things.

Think I've ordered from them twice, both times a thumbs up.

And, another worth watching that's not normally brought up,,,, Lanbos Armory. My go to for Magpul but surprising what ya might find there.
