I picked up a model 94 32 win special , 1955 for $575 at a local gun show. A little light surface rust on the receiver, but it should buff out. I always wanted a 94, this looked like it has the right amount of patina to at least look cool, but overall is pretty clean. I ordered dies and will probably use 30-30 brass since 32 win spcl brass is pretty hard to find.

Hey norm fug the buffing chit. Like Eddie said oil and 4 ought wool , I use the steel with good gun oil take off the rust not the finish. More than a few powders will work. Buy 32 bullets when you see them cause they don't grow on trees. Like mine..mb

I bought a '52 Marlin SC in .32 WS last year. It doesn't do anything a 30-30 won't, but it's a cool rifle/cartridge. You made a good purchase. 4 ought steel wool and oil will clean it up nicely. Here's a head start on your bullet search.
Well I tore it down yesterday and cleaned it up. Aside from a bit of surface rust on the bottom of the receiver it looks pretty good. I hit with a brass brush and oil its not too bad for a 70 year old rifle. I almost didn't get the barrel band screws out, I dorked the heads up a bit so I ordered some new ones. I ordered some hornady 170 gr interlocks and dies from Midaway. I'm sure I can find some 30-30 brass around town. In a few weeks after black powder season I'll see how it shoots.

I think you did good. I've wanted a .32 to shoot cast bullets in but, not many in my area.

It cleaned up pretty well, just some light surface rust and decades of dirt in the action. I wasn’t sure I was going to get the barrel band screws out without breaking them, but I won in the end. I bought two new screws. No rust under the forearm so the tube and barrel are decent.
I found dies and bullets, no brass available so I used 30-30 brass and loaded up some rounds. I’ll get out this week and test it out.
