It was one of those "temporary" buildings built during WWII but it was still standing and getting used every day. Of course, there was wool and other items of clothing in the building so I'm sure they wanted to keep the mice and bugs out. That was my first real exposure to moth balls on a big scale. Every time I smell them now, my mind goes back to June 1973 and Ft.
