Dogs often have bad breath for various reasons, and we usually take it in stride. Recently our dog had it frequently, and we didn't worry about it. The vet found a mass on a tonsil, and it proved to be cancer, prognosis poor. I happened to see on the internet that bad breath can be a symptom of cancer. Following surgery the bad breath disappeared. Unfortunately the cancer is too far gone, and will spread and she will probably die in a matter of months.

Take it seriously; have it checked by a vet.

Very sorry to hear of that. God bless.

Bummer dude, sorry about your dog

"Death Breath" is a very real thing. 3 Vets passed me off not believing me when I said, "I know my family". At least the last wrote me the referral to Tuft's.
Phenomenal facility. Better than I have ever received in any Hospital. From the moment we hit the doors, it was 100% patient care. Not "paperwork".
Not a lot of cell usage then. I came home to a blinking answering machine. The Oncologist confirmed a Mast Cell Lesion he said he could throw everything in his arsenal at; and not guarentee 2 months.
No one knows your family like you.

Please don't let her suffer. It's been my experience that I have waited too long for my own selfish reasons.

I had a lab that had just that. Needed 13 teeth removed.

Don’t jump to conclusions folks!

You are a "Dog Owner" not a Pack leader, or head of household. My sympathies to your "family" members. You do not KNOW them, and you never will. And that is truly a pity.

Sorry to hear, RAM. Sucks.

I’ve always associated my dog’s bad breath with the turds he eats like they were hotdogs every morning when my wife lets him out to do his business.

had a small terrier who had horrible breath. Vet said his teeth were falling out and he needed all of them removed

but I do pay attention to that because if its consistent its a sign of something bad
