I can't hear low conversation anymore or deer walking.

I slowly lost my hearing one year at a time in a machine shop.

What are some lower cost hearing aid options?

If you're a veteran check with the VA. If not try Costco.

Of course there are a lot of TV advertisers selling hearing aids. I haven't heard a word about those devices -- except for the actors paid to give glorious reviews.

I saw an advertisement today for a hearing aid from Walmart. My guess is Sams club and Walmart have hearing aids as well.

I've had hearing aids for 11 years. Had Sam's aids and now have just gotten a pair from Costco. No comparison. Costco's entire system makes Sam's look rookie. I'd recommend Costco.

What Westman said. Got my second pair at Costco. The staff was great. I got the most thorough hearing test and the adjustments were spot on. By the end of 2024, I expect to get a new set. The technology had improved by a huge factor. Seems 5 years are about the life of a set or the improvements make it worthwhile to upgrade. My biggest complaint with this set is 4 day battery life with the small batteries. Next pair will be rechargeable.

Sumbeach, I know they are expensive (Dad paid $5k) I was expecting less
from Costco. Was gonna point him there.

He paid so much for his, he won't use them.
Figured if he could get cheap replacements, he would use his more often.
