I recently had a guy offer to sell me an unfired Nylon 66 with the original packing/stickers/etc. I’ve searched around but haven’t had the best luck trying to figure out what year it is. It is a brown stock with serial A22745xx if that helps any?
Thanks Kyle

Remington used a two to three letter code on the barrel to indicate month and year of manufacture. There are several sources for the code list on the internet. Some of the small letters were sloppily applied and can be hard to interpret.

A = March
C = 1980
Nylon 66s were cataloged from 1959 thru 1989. The only year in that range that used the letter "A" as its year code was 1980.

The month - A = March - is correct but it looks like you used the A again for the year. C corresponds to 1982.
Gunnery, gunnery, gunnery. Hit the target, all else is twaddle!
