I won a Savage 111 in a gun raffle a long time ago. Probably 15 years or so.

It's a non-accutrigger long action 111 in 300 Win Mag.

It has a 24 inch blued barrel and a 3 round detachable mag....with the release button on the right side of the stock.

I gather that there are few options available with this mag set up.

Apparently you can use a 110 stock and convert to a blind magazine? This mag set up is not well embraced by the after market.

Can you get a regular stock and just buy bottom metal and convert it from a detach mag?

Not looking for a chassis setup...but are there other options like Magpul or something?

Thanks.

Try Kevin Rayhill at Stockade stocks. Won't be light, but will be plenty serviceable.

Stockys has a 110 inlet carbon fiber but they are cut for new, centerfeed bottom metal guns.

Thanks.

I take it mine is a stagger feed?

It has the side bolt release.

Just out of curiosity....I may be way off.....

If I buy a 110 long action stock for a current center feed action...and buy an AICS bottom metal set up...I could just drop my action into that and be done?

I believe you would need to have a bit of the action milled at the rear of the bottom opening for the AICS magazine to sit up high enough for the bolt to strip out the rounds.

You also may need to create some clearance for the side bolt release.

Otherwise, the action screw hole spacing is the same.
