free speech can be a tough thing to deal with
the bigger issue to me isn't that they allowed these protests on campus
its that they created an environment of intolerance for select groups while encouraging their detractors to demand their silence.
These University administrators were 100% in support of accepting that students felt threatened by conservative Trump supporters on campus, they tolerated sit ins, interruptions, and protests of speakers who wanted nothing more than to talk about conservative values, or in some cases - canceling speaking engagement under the threat of violence from the protestors (who they were encouraging)
The problem is, they believe they are on the side of right when it comes to their politics influencing their policy
and in this case, its bit them in the ass.
zero sympathy for any of those people
unfortunately it will do nothing to improve muslim/jewish relations on campus
