I have an old adl 308 bought as a barreled action. Bedded into a b&c stock. Nice gloss bluing. I bought it at about 12 years ago from a guy that had a collection of new old stock remingtons. It was said to be new then. I took it to the range one time when I first got it along with a heavy tactical style 308 and I remember the old adl shot the match ammo I had that day better than the heavy 308. It has no noticeable bluing loss from wear but has minor imperfections throughout with the worst being a scratch along the stock line where it looks like whoever bedded it cleaned it up with a razor blade and the front sight screw filler screw head is messed up. The stock is brown with like a light black webbing and has safe dings and scratches. The recoil pad has a feathered edge and starting to get a flat spot from sitting in a safe. 13 1/4" LOP. It currently has a gloss leupold vari x IIc 3-9x40 in leupold gloss 1 PC base and rings.

It's always an interesting time of year on the campfire when hunting seasons draw to a close. Cabin fever sets in and people post some wild schitt. Saw a couple interesting posts lately.

I have the same gun. It is a tack driver. The previous owner had it teflon coated, which looks nice, but I’d still prefer the good old normal high gloss. Love the gun. 308’s a
