tell me how to make a soup with a neck. I never make soup

I cook deer all kinds of ways but never soup, so when my neck defrosts, i will use the water hose to pop the spinal cord out, then season and let it sit in fridge, then pressure cook and debone the next day. then make soup

so how do I make vegetable soup? recipe??

also I was thinking pressure cook neck 1 hour??

Wife is having foot surgery Wednesday, she will be not walking for 2 weeks and i am home FMLA leave - and no hunting - skip that discussion
thanks in advance - Simoneaud

Saute some veggies, deglaze pan with stock and wine. Drop in browned neck roast, add some herb sprigs and cook until tender.

One of my favorites.

I would do exactly what you are contemplating, sans removing cord (no CWD issues up here).

Maybe, brown off, before pressure cooking with some quartered onions, stock & red wine.

Then use the meat & juices in a deer & barley soup recipe.
