UC will be 4-5 ounces lighter. UC wears a cheek piece if that’s important.

Grip angle on the UC sucks in my opinion. And if you order a stock from manners the odds of it coming out like you ordered are low in my experience

I've wondered what the comb height on the UC is. Several times I came close to ordering but held off. I'm sure it's a slim trim stock. It's true about orders through Manners. I've not had one ordered directly from Manners come correct yet. I've finished several of the older Bansner stocks for 700's and 7's and a couple of their newer production stocks. They've always felt good to me and I'm a fan. I've been shooting a Bansner stocked 280AI the last couple of weeks and it just fits me well. Years ago I sold the ADL Bansner stock in the pic below and I wish I had held on to it:

Not trying to get off topic but you can have a stock made by the man/men?…..who carried on with Melvins stocks. Some very interesting information in a recent thread about OutKast arms. My spelling might be wrong but you’ll get the idea.

The OutKast Arms route would be pretty cool.

This McMillan is pretty popular, I've ordered several in the past years and CS and timing has been good, last stock took less than two months. All of mine have been drop-in, pillars from McM and not bedding. Just ordered one last week, Rem 700 and clones with paint are pretty quick, molded-in colors looking at 6 months I'm told. I considered AG but pretty happy with McM. Visited Manners while in KS, they were friendly and helpful but I really don't want to wait 6-9 months and then take it to a smith for bedding and more $$$. This model is the Game Hunter

The Bansner Sheep Hunter is a great stock. I don’t care for cheekpieces. Has a short forend. Super tough. I prefer it’s construction to McM.

I have a Bansner sheep hunter in BDL configuration if anyone is interested. I’ll give you a good price.
I love Bansners, but prefer the standard w/o cheekpiece since I shoot lefthanded. The Sheep Hunter is about 2” shorter in the fore end and I just don’t like it. I think 29” overall vs. 31” overall.

Not sure to be honest. I am not the original purchaser. I can measure and send it to you. If you want photos, please pm a phone number and I’ll text some to you.
