Good evening,
Just looking for some fairly simple information, I think (I struck out on google...).
I'm looking into a new rem 700 SPS stainless, probably a 243. My plan is to upgrade it over the next few years, starting with the stock. Looking at Bells and Carlson because I've liked the ones I've had so far.
My question is this, in the interim, what am I looking at with that two-tone gray and black thing that comes on it. Is it hollow? Who makes it? Is it rigid? If it's ok, I may hang onto it for my boys, but I'm pretty long and lanky and like a 14"+ LOP.
Thanks!
Matthew

I've had them Pillar Bedded and also have had a small diameter aluminum rod epoxied in forearm, shot just fine.

Got a 260 with this stock. Bedded the lug and couple inches in front under the barrel. It does fairly well most loads under an inch. More of a barrel issue than stock I believe. Works for what I want it to, grandkids and range toy.
It doesn't matter how fast you miss.
