I have used bi-pods for decades but none were made for a picatinny rail
What are the best for a rail as I have just picked up a rifle with a rail attached ??

I recently bought an Atlas 9-13". I bought the BT69 and added an ADM picatinny QD mount for it. I shot a week long rifle class with it and really liked it. Several people were using Harris. The Harris would deploy substantially faster than the Atlas, if that matters to you. The Atlas offers some options to deploy at 45* in either direction and they lock into place very positively.

I tried both but preferred the Atlas at the end of the week.

Picatinny QD adapters are available for the Harris as well.

There's a reason that Atlas's cost what they do.

For a cheaper version that isn't too bad, the Magpul is decent for around $110.
