I was asked this morning if I knew how to remove white mold from a firearm. Seems they had been left in a gun safe unattended for many years and are covered with this mold. Guess it's all over the wood, metal, inside and out, he has already tried WD40 but it still left a white haze of mold behind.What would be your next attempt be? TIA.

Might try white vinegar. I think I’ve heard it is good for mold. Of course then need to clean the vinegar off….

Need some dehumidifiers in that safe as well, so it doesn't keep happening

A water and bleach mixture on a rag will do the trick
