Got the kid a Tikka Compact .243.

Couldn’t find any Sportsmatch rings in stock, but a rail I had here and low Mtn Techs isn’t too bad.

I think with a light weight 7”ish suppressor that this will serve him well until a Montana fits him.

I’m hoping Varget and 70s will shoot well, and have low enough recoil for him to shoot a lot until it’s suppressed.

My kids and grandkids have gotten rifles for Christmas through the years

I bought myself the same rifle in 308. It's wearing a proven 4x Leupold in low Weaver rings on a Mountain Tactical rail.

What scope is that?

Yeah that will be tame with a suppressor.

My daughter has the same in 308
It loves the 125s and reduced loads.
It also really likes the 125s going really fast.

Fabulous! Great with a suppressor.

Hard to go wrong with that choice.

Ahhhh Christmas guns. The ones you never forget and save forever. Mine, 22 cooey single shot, yep it wasn't new but was handed down which now seems better now. GWPGUY. 🐾👣🇨🇦

Wonderful choice. I have a few of assorted models and they are still growing on me.
I’m sure he will enjoy it for years to come.
