My Dad carried this knife in his toolbox for about 15yrs, Until one day a Gunny Sgt. at Pax River saw him scraping parts with it. He said, " Hey, if you knew what that knife was you wouldn't be treating it like that". That was in 1973, After that he cleaned it up, wrapped it in a cloth and put it away in a drawer, it stayed there until 2021. About a year before he passed away he pulled it out and gave it to me. Anyhow, that's the story now I have a question. I've been looking for a period correct original sheath for it, not a repo. But from what I've seen there a few different styles of sheaths for this type of knife. What would be correct for this particular one ? From my research it's a Fairbairn Sykes British fighting knife, The handle is cast aluminum, it says England on the guard, that's the only markings that I can find. Any help, history, information of any kind is appreciated.
