I had a Ruger M77 tang safety. Loved the rifle, loved the cartridge, hated the terrible accuracy of the rifle.
I sold it and bought a Tikka Chambered in 7-08. I like it, don't love the cartridge as much as I did the darling .280.
I have a Remington Model 700 Long Range in 7mm Rem Mag that I just don't use that I may be able to trade.
Thanks for the help.

I have a Remington 700 280 Remington, it has a factory barrel, cerakoted in black, & has been accurized by Alamo Precision or Hill Country Rifles. Don’t remember which. It has a McMillan sporter stock painted in urban camo.
I have a Borden custom built by Kampfeld Customs in 280 AI.
By the way, in case you missed it, Jeremiah was a bullfrog.

I've got a Remington 700 XCR ll chambered in 280 Remington that I would sell. Only selling because it sits behind my custom 700 , chambered in the same!.
The rifle is stainless with black nitride coating(factory). I did take off the plastic stock and put on a much lighter B&C Alaskan stock. It shoots 160 grain Sierra GK into nice sub moa groups. It's in excellent condition. If interested, shoot me a pm with your cell number for pictures. I'd need to get $1150 shipped to your FFL.

That xcr ii for 1150 is where I start if I were looking. Got a rem 700 from 1986 trued up with a shilen stainless no. 2 and 1150 aint buying mine. 2150 maybe, but not 1150. Great deal there.
And I do believe a good ol 7 express might be the best deer cartridge of all time.

Just so I am clear this is a 280 Ackley Improved (AI) in a IV action. DOn’t want someone to call me out for saying you can squeeze a 280 in a Sako AI action. If someone else is interested PM me. Bump, Kyle.

Acronin243: I absolutely LOVE my custom pre-64 Winchester Model 70 in caliber 280 Remington! My local gunshop has a MINT condition Remington 700 stainless "Commemorative Rifle" in caliber 280 Remington - it is similar to the Remington Model 700 LSS Rifles as it has a beautiful laminated gray/black wood stock. The asking price is $1,250.00 with NO sales tax in Montana. This shop is notorious for "good (and better!) prices on their guns - this rig is kind of the exception as I consider it "full market value". It MAY be on consignment and the consigning owner set that price? The shop is closed until January 3rd and their phone number is 406-683-9844 if you are interested. I have a couple of Remington 700 LSS Rifles and they are DANDIES (one in 243 Winchester and one in 270 Winchester Short Magnum)! Good luck with your search. Hold into the wind VarmintGuy

I know you're trying to help the guy out, but posting all that info here will most likely wind up with someone else sniping it. Better to send in a pm.
