Girlfriend and I took a couple day road trip checking out outlets for her and out of the way gun shops for me. One shop had a I believe Valmet 12 / 243. I've seen a few even owned one briefly in 12 / 30-06. Only thing was the one today was in stainless or nickel plate, barrels and receiver. Common or no? I don't recall seeing one before other than blued.

Never saw a 412 valmet in anything other than blue.

I have seen a 512 Finn classic, I forget who made these, with a stainless or nickle receiver but the barrels were still blue.

I'm curious about what you saw myself

Tikka made a few obviously in some non-blue metal in Italy before rebranding to 512:

Not the whole gun though.
