Earlier last year, I was slightly disappointed to see that when the new Sako 90 was announced, that only the Peak model (which appears to be the successor to the 85 Carbonlight) was listed on their website as being available in left-handed models. As someone who likes wood & blued steel, I was really hoping they might make some of their Hunter & Bavarian models left-handed as well.

While surfing around this morning, the first left-handed Sako 90's in .243 & .308 popped up at EuroOptic.com and they were in the Hunter, Adventure & Peak models. They're not giving them away cheaply but I've become tentatively optimistic that a model / caliber combination I'm interested in might appear at some point in the future. Fingers crossed...

EDIT: The 6.5 Creedmoor is also listed but not in stock yet.

They're proud of them.

Never been hugely fascinated by Sako, but the one model that did intrigue me was the Bavarian models. I'll be very interested to see if they introduce the 90 in the LH Bavarian package.

Because not every manufacturer makes LH models, I tend to show an elevated amount of interest & loyalty to the ones that do. Especially the companies that chamber their rifles in some of the classic calibers that I'm fond of (6.5x55, 9.3x62, 375 H&H, etc.). Sako is one of the few companies that will do this so I always follow their offerings even if their prices make me wince a bit. I like my 85 Hunter a lot so I too am hoping they make the Bavarian models in LH as well. I have every rifle I need so mainly I'm just enjoying window shopping & dreaming about filling those last couple of slots in my gun safe with something I really want. But it's much easier to not be disappointed if nothing eventually appears when you're already pleased with what you currently have.

I would like to see a S20 in LH. I own one in .06 and absolutely love it, even though their are lighter weight guns out there.

There are a couple on guns international right now.

Both 308, one synthetic, one walnut (and pretty handsome)

Would like a hunter in 270win. If they aren't too heavy.

The Carbonlite is a very nice handling rifle and shoots great too. Mine is ready for a new barrel.
The S20 shoots very well with a longer barrel. So far only a .308 was offered in a 20". would have liked other choices in 20.

I saw all the Sako 90 models at the Beretta booth at SCI Nashville. . Only the peak on display was LH. It was a .308. It was very light with the carbonfibre stock. I might have been tempted to buy their display if my wife wasnt with me. Seemed like a very nicely made rifle.
