Can you recommend someone that can make a Glock 43x work?



I recently traded into one, new, and I am having issues. Slide finish is off, trigger shoe is rough and cuts my finger, trigger pull is over 8 lbs., slide travel is rough, excessive vertical movement in slide/frame fitment. I ordered a new trigger shoe and a 3.5 lb connector, but the more I think on it, the more I think there is something just wrong with assembly.



Can the poor frame to slide fitment put the trigger at an odd angle, causing the excessive weight?



My wife and I have had a couple of Glocks over the last few years and they have all be better made than this one.

Did you trade into a new one, or a used one some hack worked over?

If it's new, I'd definitely contact Glock customer service, explain the issues, and send it in for a going over.

I've only used Glock service once in 30 years of Glocking. It was a broken trigger spring on my G17 about 20 years ago. The repair was fast, and free.

Knowing what I know today, I would have simply replaced the spring myself.

If it is new, and you are having those type issues, don't do anything yourself. Simply call and explain the issues, ask to have it corrected. They will take care of you. Glock customer service, in my experience is top notch. Don't take it to the local bubba "Glock expert", as this usually makes things worse. It is a rare Glock that does not run ultra reliably.

Agreed with the previous recommendations to send it back to Glock. They'll likely ship it both ways for free, fix it for free (the first time) and have it in their possession for less than a week.

you learn something every day, I have never seen a glock in my entire life with that many problems new out of the box. If it were me, I would send it back to glock.

never heard of those issues before. I'd contact Glock in Georgia and have them fix it

I wouldn't do anything different with a new Glock than what Shane is saying here. End of story.

Thanks guys, I guess will have to send it back. I have never had to send a Glock back before. I think I can fix everything but the frame rails, but I am sure not going to try and do that with a hammer.

Its my fault, I was trying to trade for a much higher priced item at the same time and the Glock was an afterthought. I obviously did not examine it closely.

Don't worry, you couldn't have been concerned about a Glock considering their out of the box reputation.

Where the rubber meets the road will be how Glock responds. Thinking that will be totally satisfactory.
