The link says you have to register BEFORE January 1, 2024, so it's alreadty too late.

It's not too late to move. I left 22 years ago and haven't ever missed it.

And 99%+ of gun owners have tacitly told the IL governor to pound sand... Mass disobedience to an anti-2A gov't. - gotta love it .

IL governors should always serve a minimum of 2 terms!

Left Illinois in ‘65. I go back, reluctantly, on occasion for business purpose. Went back a few times for family reunions. Each time reinforced the reason I left Illinois originally. BTW, went into the USN at 17. MTG

Unfortunately I live pretty close to that communist state and have to travel there far too often. Closest town around with any shopping to speak of used to be known as “Little Chicago”. Always an uneasy feeling while over there.

Or patrolling public ranges and checking for registration paperwork. If private property laws prevent that then they'll set up a traffic safety stop nearby. God forbid anyone defends themselves with a gun holding a high capacity magazines or an unregistered assault weapon.

Well I guess we will see if the ATF is keeping track of whose buying what. No way they can get a number on the person to person paperless sales. But it’s gonna be a surprise to some when they come asking about rifles and parts for rifles they purchased thru an FFL. Makes me wonder where they getting the numbers? How can they have any idea of compliance if they don’t know how many are out there?
