Same with this guy. Just an average bull, nothing to write home about, but he got heavier as I was packing him out. Used my 5" Model 29 .44 Mag.

I've killed a couple of blacktails in their beds. Range was about 30 yards. Maybe not the best, but still pretty sneaky.

I nominate Ol' Mike. He sneaked-up on a flock of Billions of Robins. That's a lot of eyeballs to evade.

I once snuck up on a rattlesnake and stepped right over him before he knew I was there…

Bet it took as long to pile those jacks up as it did to shoot them. Nice work.

Snuck up on a cat a few years back while deer hunting. Little bugger was stalking something intently, and took a bit to get moving in a single direction when I landed with a foot on either side of it and roared at it. I reflected after the fact on what might have been if it decided to climb my leg, once I quit laughing. That is the only cat that has been seen by me in the deer woods that lived to tell of it. And I bet it is several lives short after the experience.

Shot at an animal? Shot of liquor? Shot of bodily fluid?
Burns and camuglia have to be tops for at least two of those categories I see someone’s V-JJ is aching after being firmly sand-packed in the Scopes…. thread 😂😂😂

Snuck to withing 5 yards of deer a few times. 15 yards of a bobcat once that was after a squirrel on a tall broke over tree stump.

I have been close enough to touch deer on three occasions. It can be uncomfortable. I never wanted to be on a highlight video for doing something stupid. I've tried but never succeeded.

jag; Good evening to you sir, I hope the year, short as it's been, has been behaving and this finds you well. Thanks for the video of the sleeping coyote, that's unusual to get close to them, but if one spends enough time outside, one can have some odd experiences. Way, way back in ancient times when I'd first built my .22-250AI, buddy and I were about to set up for some winter calling when one of us - likely him as he's a grand game spotter - saw a coyote rolled up in a ball, sleeping under a Ponderosa Pine. In those pre-rangefinder days, we did a whole lot of "range guesstimation" and again the rifle and it's trajectory was new to me, but we figured rough and dirty it had to be 450yds more or less, so I got a good rest over my pack, held where we thought might could connect and I let fly a 55gr Ballistic Tip. The response was almost immediate and I must have been too close for it's comfort, as it went about 2' straight into the air, did a couple of the fastest 360° spins one can imagine and then it lit out in a direction it must have thought was safe. We were laughing so hard that honestly jag any direction was safe. Another time I was coming down a game trail fairly quietly I guess, with the wind in my face, when I a young coyote sleeping on a big boulder just off the trail. I can't recall exactly how close it was now sir, but let's just say close enough that the reticle was tough to see. It got either a 100gr Hornady or I thing maybe it was the first thing we flashed up with 80gr TTSX from a .250AI. Whatever projectile, it did remove said formerly sleeping coyote from the rock with considerable force, violence and acceleration. That wasn't sneaky, that was dumb luck and a dumb coyote more than anything else. All the best to you in the New Year jag. Dwayne
