Really strange winter, up here ~

Had & lost snow, 3 times, currently have couple of inches of coverage, not the normal 3+ feet.

Actually, the hoar frost has been amazing, though !

Good afternoon, I suppose we could make a case for evening already for you all I see, but regardless I hope all is well with you and yours.

Thanks for the photos of your yard and the winter beauty in it.

While I don't always comment, I always do appreciate you sharing them whether it's food, hunting, fishing, food or just life.

It's interesting to see how other 'Fire folks' lives look.

All the best to you all this year.

Dwayne

You are one of the few that understand how much we here appreciate the pictures of a different world.

Mornin fellow Canukistan nice to not have to fire up the snow blower yet. Any snow you do get please keep it up there. Can't imagine how someone that bought a new $15000.00 snow machine is feeling about now. They'll need therapy soon. GWPGUY. ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ‘ฃ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ฆ

I bought a new Expedition snowmobile this fall. Iโ€™m not worried in the least. There will be snow one day. Whatโ€™s really got me pissed off is that there is no ice for the ice fishing season. I guess Iโ€™ll have to pass the time cutting firewood this winter.

I was Australia once, in Sydney. Beautiful city, horrible traffic. What city were you from?

Hey Nick, lots of ice up here, even the trout lakes have enough to "machine" on.

However, our quads don't have heated grips, like our snow machines !

We were from Brisbane, Queensland, roughly 1000km north of Sydney, New South Wales.

Welcome to "El Nino" weather patterns. In southern Alberta, we are heading to a very harsh drought this summer.

Well, that is not good!

All I can think about is all the fires we are about to have this summer. The Sun plotted out, the smell of smoke everywhere, and cool temperatures with the Sun's warming rays being deflected.

Looking forward to one beautiful summer with blue skies and fresh breathable air.

If, over the next month, we got another foot of wet snow, that would be awesome. As it is, the foot and a half we had has melted down to six inches and it has been staying above freezing overnight. Not ideal. On the other hand, elk and deer are having a fairly easy time of it, and we might see a pretty good calf/fawn crop this year. GD
