Hi All
I moved to Parker Colorado recently and have not been able to find a place to go shoot rifles.
Any recommendations? Public land or long distance range for a fee, either way.
Thanks
-Sean

Not many choices that fit your criteria. Not free but Ben Lomand Gun club is 40 miles or so east of Franktown.
Laws aren't preventative measures. In other words, more laws won't prevent gun crime from happening.

According to my mapping software, there's a 25,000 acre parcel of state-owned land 10 miles NE of Parker. The parcel sits east of the Aurora Reservoir.
Don't know what kind of access CO grants to state-owned land. In AZ, you can hunt on state-owned land but cannot target shoot..... like I said, don't know what kind of access you have on this chunk of land.

-Sean Colorado Rifle Club is a pretty amazing facility and if you attend during the week you are often alone. Visited a friend there and was really impressed.

In Colorado most state owned land is leased, and the leasee usually does not allow access of any kind.

Hi All
I moved to Parker Colorado recently and have not been able to find a place to go shoot rifles. How about the next BLM riot? Kyle Rittenhouse needs a few allies.

Golden Gun Club, Colorado Rifle Club, Lead Valley range, Ben Lomond. But if you're driving that far from Parker, you could always come out to the ranch in Deer Trail where I work. I have gongs to a mile.....

Hard to beat the offer above from Huntsman! Kinda far, but Camp Frickes (Buffalo Creek Gun Club) and Park County Shooting Range (really far) both have 600 yard ranges.

In Colorado most state owned land is leased, and the leasee usually does not allow access of any kind. That is bs. Not the situation in most other western states. Here it might be leased but access kept open. Maybe closed to ‘target’ shooting if near a populated area.

If you have the lease here, it's just like you own it......

Colorado Rifle Club. It's 100 bucks a year and you can go on the website and few the current conditions of the range before you drive out. You get a key to the place and there are places to park your RV if you want to stay a while.

It'd be worth it to have access to a private one mile range. How much do horses sĥit, anyway?
