My first western boots would have been sometime in the mid 1960's and I think they were made by Acme. I gave up on western boots thru the 1970's and 1980's but since the early 1990's til today have were western boots almost exclusively in the fall/winter/early spring and to work in even during the summer. My latest pair were given to me for Christmas 2023 Tecovas Python.

Tony Lamas in the 90's. Bought in high school. Later someone would steal them from my car. Finally bought replacement TL's last year.

Bought my own as a kid, and have quite a collection now. Olathes are the faves.

I was too young to remember. Many of my pics as a toddler on up are in cowboy boots. Once I got into High School my feet were big enough to wear my dads - which irked him. When I graduated I spent a big chunk of cash to buy some beautiful Tony Lama anaconda skin boots. I didn’t know I would continue to grow for 2 more years and the boots were too small within 6 months. Dad got a hell of a nice pair of boots outta the deal!

Got some when I was about 19 to chase pussy turns out runnin shoes did better unless you're after hefty ones. Good for riding horses but that's about it I've always worn lace up boots instead

Never owned a pair....
Like Cowboy hats, they are for cowboys. I'm not a cowboy, and don't pretend to be one...
unlike a lot of guys and singers in Tennessee pretend to be...
Think back to the early 80s when the Movie " Urban Cowboy" came out... Ford made a bunch of F 100 pickups with a 300 6 cylinder in them, on a station wagon frame.. sold zillions of them.
Plenty of guys bought one, and a cowboy hat and cowboy boots.
even in places like New York.
Duuuh.

Got my first pair when I was three...wanted em real bad. I wore them to bed that first night I had them, refused to let anyone take them off my feet.

Like a few that have replied, pictures of me on a horse before I could walk, my Dad made a point of me wearing boots, can’t remember not, I probably have 35 pairs of cowboy, work, feeding, and hunting boots, didn’t get tennis shoes until I moved to Texas and started playing football in ninth grade.

As a young squirt, my dad bought me a pair of boots. He showed me the stitching on the vamp and said, "Look at the doodads!" From that point forward, if I wanted my boots, I asked for my "do-do's"! LOL!
No idea just how many pairs of boots I've had since then, but a bunch. Last pair I bought came from M.L. Leddy's in the Stockyards in Fort Worth. Custom made. They're like wearing leather socks! About $700!

Insulated boots from Away when I was 4 or five... Worst day ever was trying to get them off once my feet grew too much.
