They have a big get together in Hinkley every year to watch for the teturn of the buzzards. Big pancake breakfast and people watching for the buzzards with binos. Kinda like a minor league version of Punxsutawney Pa. and the groundhog thing.

If you call it "Saturday" then it had a name.

Yup! Maybe thin out the Californians while we are at it!

Sounds like the current Amish Coyote hunts in Ohio.

They say everything happens for a reason.
For me that reason is usually because I've made some bad decisions that I need to pay for.

We need to thin the California's out in my neighborhood alone. It's a newer neighborhood and has filled up with Californians the last few years.

One of them named Paul is pretty cool so he can stay. He's an actual conservative not a California conservative. He hunts and is even letting me keep this year's elk in his freezer until I can make more room in my freezers. His wife loves my homemade venison jerky so I'm going to show them how to make it this week. Nice to know that some Californians are still solid conservatives. We just need to screen them because too many are leftists that want to turn idaho into a progressive cesspool like the one they fled.

The writers must be ignorant of the 40 mile caribou hunt. It is much more of a blood bath. People would actually pick over the "battlefield" to find lost binos, rangefinders and other hunting gear. It hasn't been as bad during the last couple of years but during the covid lockdown year it was a dilly of a sshow.
