I've had 2 of those. One was great, the other the rifle and shotgun didn't shoot to same POI. Still made money on it.

I got a 22/410 for Christmas β€˜63, I think. I knocked down the first dove I ever shot at with it. 😁

We have a Deluxe model, .22/.410. Heck of a squirrel gun.! Darn thing has a very excessive LOP. Kids have a hard time shooting it.

I was bidding on six of them, only got this one.

It will join my original one in 22/410 I have had about 40 years and a more recent one from another auction in 20/30-30 which I think might make a good deer rifle.

I hope it’s a good one, a big fan here of the .22LR/20ga version.

Have several, my 24V 20ga/222 is a proven varmint killer with both barrels, use it often when calling fox. Have killed a few coyotes with the triple deuce barrel as well. Mine came with an old Holden Ironsighter see thru mount that makes using the irons for the shotgun barrel possible.

It was a favorite of PA turkey hunters. I have mine set up for coyote hunting with a fixed 4x scope. The 222 is sighted at 100 yards and the 20 ga hits mid body on a yote at 40 yards when I hold the horizontal crosshair just above his spine..

Well it came today, needs a cleaning as it was never cleaned after the last time it was fired, but it looks in nice shape, have dies and brass now and will make up some loads.

I think the bores are good, but want to clean it to double check.

Very cool. Have always wanted one as a truck gun, especially the 30 30 / 20 gauge. Perfect for cruising the back roads picking off grouse and being ready for a buck as well.

Had no interest in these as a youngster but some wisdom does apparently come with age.

I've owned several now includlng 24DL 22mag over 20g and 24C. 22LR over 20g "cylinder". I thought real hard over a .222 over 20g but held off solely for the slightly increased size. I finally decided that the "Camper" was best for my needs... truck gun, plinking with younger kids, and handy grouse gun. I must admit that I am reluctant to leave it in the truck (think "old days") for fear that it might easily walk off somehow.

I think they would sell a lot of these if Savage could still produce a simple, quality, maybe hardwood stocked version in one or two chamberings for ?$500-600. Now that the older ones have been re-discovered, it is really getting hard to find the used ones for much less anymore.

Enjoy your fun, "new", versatile friend!

I carried a 24V on the trap line many years ago. Great gun and scary accurate.

There aren’t many guns that I don’t have that I’d still love to get but that is one.

A childhood hunting mentor had one in 20/22WMR and it was fantastic!

Nice score!!

I like them, I have three now.
One I have had for 40 or so years in 22/410, a 30/30 over 20 gauge and now a 222/20gauge.
