It was excellent.
Except for them peas, I'd be real happy to see that in front of me.

Potatoes and Dumplings in beef stew???
WTF Geno ? 😜

Seriously, though, looks good, Buddy!
The only time we were lucky enough to get dumplings were with chicken & dumplings. 🤠
Is that some kinda “Italian” thing ? 😜

To quote an Alan Jackson song :

“ I'll be honest with you ma'am, it ain't like mama fixed it" 😬

My version of homemade beef stew is pretty simple.

Leftover roast meat, Hunts tomato sauce & diced & skinned canned tomato’s chopped up, lots of potatoes, a can of whole corn and a can of Lima beans. Little bit of diced onions, salt, pepper, and garlic to taste.
Serve with saltine crackers and medium cheddar cheese slices. Or a pan of fresh baked jiffy cornbread if I’m feeling energetic. Heavily buttered.

I call it poor boy stew. 😀
It’s what Mom did with left over roast. Damn good stuff if your hungry.

Po Boy stew sounds good to me.

I have liver and onions every few years or so. Wife won't fix it or eat it, so I have to make it on my own.
