I’ve owned “pretty “ rifles from some pretty good and known makers. They don’t age well if you hunt them hard. Makes no sense for me to buy nice wood . I rather take a rattle can after a hunt to recondition if needed.

I rather take a rattle can after a hunt to recondition if needed. Pleased for you, we don't all have to like the same thing. For instance, I have a weakness for 50's era Brno rifles...and hopefully no one else likes them and the price goes down. I also personally think the stuff burns hawks is crap, but am adult enough to recognise that others do not agree. Which is fine.
