I'm in the process of starting to reload for this cartridge, I'm using an older set of Bonanza FL dies, and WW Super brass.

I started to go through my brass and noticed something weird. If you look at the pics that I took you can see that on some cases just above the rim of the case it looks like a semi rimmed case, where the other one is just rimmed. Anyone run into this before, and should I be concerned?

Just a side note, I bought this brass 10-15 years ago so I can't really say when it was made.

Thanks in advance for any and all opinions regrading this matter.

Seems Winchester made 225 brass with and without the extractor groove. There examples of both all over the net.

The one with the extractor groove would probably fit in the #3 RCBS shell holder. The original ones won't, they require a #11 for the Swift.

Nope, #3 is .473 rimless. 225 Win is just like the Swift. 473 semi rimmed. #11 required.

That brass is worth good money. I had a 225 on a Martini action years ago. Only had 17 cases but shot a lot of ground squirrels with it. Mostly 17 per trip. I never found another piece of brass for it in Washington state back in 1986.
