1965 2 door Chevrolet Biscayne, 6 cyl., 3 speed on the column, green, AM radio, added 8 track tape player and FM converter, no A/C. I put on a little bigger tires, added chrome beauty rings to the rims and moon hub caps, later put on a Cherry Bomb muffler.

1st one that was actually mine was a '58 Ford Fairlane station wagon. It was a great college car.

I had a 1957 Chevrolet pickup with three on the tree and a floor starter. I bought it in 1976 in Norman, Oklahoma when I was 15 years old. Mine had the 3 on the tree standard transmission with the 6 cylinder engine, too. Had the Floor starter button / pedal, also. I bought it from a neighboring farmer. I think I payed him $250 bucks. It had been setting out behind their barn for several years. The transmission was locked up so I had to go to the local wrecking yard and buy another for $25 bucks. Layed under it for a couple of hours in the field putting in the new transmission and I was good to go. That was in 1975. I was 15 also. 😬

first road going car... 71 Buick Riviera, 455 4brl, Metallic Red, beige vinyl top, bucket seats with floor shift console... bro bought it as a repo from the insurance salvage pool when i was 15 in 78... worked my ass off to get it paid for and pimped before i got my license... before that, at 11or12, bro gifted me a half dozen 62-64 Chevy II Nova's... at 13/14 i got the best one (a 63 2dr HT) running and drove it around the salvage yard...

It was a surplus 1963 Plymouth station wagon from the Soil and Water Conservation District. It was an olive drab, survey car with not one option. Didn't even have an AM radio or back seat. It had a slant six engine that was fairly reliable, but the three on the column was so worn it was a bugger to drive and not get hung up. My twin brother and I learned a lot about keeping a car going with that piece of junk.

1969 Chevrolet Impala, 4-door, 255hp 350, automatic, pretty pedestrian, but reliable.

68 Camaro SS; 350 4 speed
It had been sitting idle for a few years when we got it. First thing was to do a valve job to get it running again. Had been wrecked twice - lots of Bondo on that car. Paid $250 for the car.
I quickly learned why Dad got that car for me - The back seat was waaaay to small to do anything with a girl.
