First time today our locked mail box was broken into. The neighbors had a problem so they bought a heavy duty model. They broke into it. Neighbors re unforced with padlocks and they just cut the locks off. We live 3 miles from town so not much traffic. Things are changing in our country. California is getting very bad. Move somewhere else. You are judged by the state you live in.

Even though that is not a problem where we live or have ever lived that is why we have always received our mail at a P.O. Box. Having a P.O. Box pretty much eliminates that problem, especially in small towns. No issues at all in over 60 years doing it that way.

You need a hand grenade, problem solved, they will need to use DNA for identification

Been here 30 years with no problem. I might build my own mailbox out of 3/16 plate. Will check into post office.

It takes a stupid person to break in a mailbox they won't get nothing of value from mine, mostly junk mail I don't even want.

No money ever goes through ours. We do it all online.

No. I live in a farming are where the houses are 1/4 mile or more apart. Cluster units are getting broke into in town. Post offices own outside drop boxes have been hit. Postal workers have been attacked in Calif. You guys don’t get our news most likely. Large groups of people are robbing stores in broad daylight. They just walk in with bags and load up and walk out. California does not have a Governor, but we pay some jackass called Newsom.

Have the post office hold your mail for a week while you build a very imaginative booby trap. I use a length of PVC pipe, a bungee cord, a piece of broomtick, and a big box of powdered cayenne pepper. It stopped a rash of car break-ins in our neighborhood when the thief opened my door and got a face full of pepper.

At our place in Oregon we had our box broken into a couple of times. Second time I got one of these.

There was quite a rash of postal workers being held at gun point and robbed of their mailbox keys which the thieves then used to open the large outdoor blue mail receipt boxes getting checks and other money instruments.
