a new 30-06 New production Rem 700 BDL. just couldn't let it sit on the shelf between Ruger American's and Savage Axis' ordered some 165 gr Accubonds, and have some H4350 i'l wring it out this spring.

i have seen a few...havent decided if i like it better with or without the white spacer that they use to have

Did you look close at the butt?. its not a plastic butplate its a skeleton inlay into the wood. I didnt care for the white spacers.

They're good looking guns. I kinda miss the white spacers though. I've handled the 700s , 870s and 1100s. The fit and finish are on point.

Those are nice-looking rifles. The stock shows a lot of influence from the Classic and CDL stocks. Also nice to see iron sights, plus the Timney trigger and 5R barrel don't hurt my feelings, either.

I do NOT miss the white-line spacers of yore, but that's just me.

I bought a new BDL for $189 sometime around 1977. It was a .308, and shot pretty well.
