Dad had prostate cancer 4-5 years ago. For his age at the time,72, he opted for radiation. He’s been cancer free since.
Doc told him if it does come back, it’s such a slow growing cancer he would die of something else. That’s why he opted for the radiation.

I sure as hell would have preferred doing something else. But the doc enjoyed it so much he scheduled another. There was aa "equivocal" result from one area. Fortunately, all was well. Was awake for both.
