Starting using these for staircases, one-piece steps make it so easy any DIYer can handle it—four basic measurements for the most part, each side on width with, and the same for length. I charge 40 bucks a step. I will do a staircase today with 17 steps and will finish it, taking my time doing it. It used to take a couple of days using pieces and was messy and a pain in the ass.

Interesting... I never knew people use LVP for stairs, and I'd be worried about slickness, but please post some pics of the work.

I do flooring for a living , have been in the buisnes for 36 yrs in may 2024 I have and still refuse to put lvp on a staircase and or double pad a flight of stairs for carpet. Have seen other installers get sued for such . to me it is not worth the liability !

STXhunter,, I have a boss that just loves this " luxury Vynle plank, buy we had problems with the 2 piece stairs . The bull nose is about 4" wide and of the 2 stairs we did , they just are not holding up. I didnt know there were one piece stair planks. I wont ever do the plastic bull nose stuff again that is 2 pieces.

The surface of these are nonslip, they are textured. Agree on double pad on anything. I'll caulk them tomorrow once the glue has set up, Liquid nails by the way. Been doing flooring for 46 years. They also make the pieces for the face board.

Builders guys, only 3 of those steps are close to being square.

I have built lots of stairs and I enjoy building them. I use Southern Yellow Pine 2x12s for treads, never had a problem with these stout pine treads. I attach them with 3 1/2 inch decking screws. Very strong and they don't squeak.

Sumtin' deep down inside is telling me the wonders of todays 'snap in plastic' floor coverings will offer much like what harvest gold shag carpeting and avocado green kitchen appliances did to the housing industry. 20 years down the road it'll just be another tacky trend that passes by. The 1970's

They are used a lot in commercial buildings, mostly with raised dots and riser sections. They last a long time.

Looks good. I prefer clue down planking, I just do. Easier to repair, not directional and I think it holds up better, YMMV. Stairs suck, I don't use caulk or trim so each piece has to be cut perfect, very time consuming, especially where the tread meets the riser. The Nosing is from Pro Source, it's not cheap, but it be good stuff. https://prosourcecenter.com/product...z9FKNFKeyHt4X0-6myim8EdhsZUaAn8HEALw_wcB Here is my last and final project, just so happens to be my house.
