I need some influence for a new boltgun, show me your setups in the comments. Along with your photo, tell me the make, model and what stock you have on your gun (if you swapped the factory one out) The ability to mount an ARCA plate to the fore end is really my only requirement. I don’t believe it’s necessary to spend $5000, I’m looking for a high VALUE rifle. I’m pretty set on a 223 because I’ve had very good success with the Frontier BTHP ammo not blowing a holes in coyotes and bobcats. I want to get away from this almost 13 pound boat anchor I have current https://instasize.com/guZTmCUErIXuK...c51ab8ec0ed0db580ca65d66566b251bf4d92291

Give a man a fish and he eats for a day. Give a man a welfare check, a forty ounce malt liquor, a crack pipe, an Obama phone, free health insurance. and some Air Jordan's and he votes Democrat for a lifetime.

Scott, What does that stock weigh? Seems like that'd be a pretty easy way to drop weight with your current setup – I'm guessing you could drop a couple lbs. with the MDT HNT26 chassis (and have an integrated arca rail). I'm afraid I won't be much help because mine is on the chunkier side.

I believe the chassis alone is 4.1 pounds. What’s sucks about the Axis line, is there aren’t many aftermarket options.

The MDT HNT26 can be had for Savage - although I'm not up-to-speed on Axis vs. non-Axis lines - are they different? Also, if you're not married to the pistol grip, chassis-style stock, you can put an arca rail on about any stock. I'm familiar with this one but there are a lot of options out there. https://hendersonprecision.com/product/hunter-3-inch-rail/

Sobering must be different, there are a lot of savage accessories that say “will not fit savage axis”

Well, maybe start at the end then - what's the final weight you'd prefer to have? Once we start hanging stuff off of the rifle (lights, batteries, suppressors etc), things add up fast.

All of them do something better than the 30-06, but none of them do everything as well.

If you prefer .223: First up is CZ 600 LUX..3x9 SIG Whiskey Scope Second up is a Remington 700sps stainless-punched out to .223AI, B&C Alaskan stock, Burris 3x9 Scope Third: Tikka Superlight 8 twist, 3x9 Minox I know they all work on predators as well, Im just too lazy to look up pics of them with predators

Stainless Tikka Varmint. Stock everything.
Leupold FX-3 12x40 AO Target.
Shoots 75 ELDM at 2900 fps very well.
Pic if I can find it but it’s a basic model. Hence value.

Hard to beat a Remington 700, in 223, or 22-250. And don’t rule out the same gun in 204 Ruger. They generally shoot very well out of the box. If it’s a wood stock version, I’d glass bed it and float the barrel and go kill stuff. Or you could spend some money and get a good synthetic stock. If it’s a factory Tupperware type stock,I’d go direct to a quality synthetic replacement.

[quote=Dre]Fast twist tikka T3X super lite if you want lite and accuracy[/quote I just shot my Tikka Compact .223 for the first time the other day. I almost never shoot factory ammo but Fiocchi factory 55 grain soft point ammo shot under 3/4”. I have the same in 22-250 I’m anxious to shoot soon. Ingwe’s CZ is a wonderful rifle and I have several burnout that exact model. TheTikka is hard to beat for light, handy, and accurate! Good luck! Rick
