What's the general consensus on the XPR line?

Now that is more interesting (to me). A threaded 20" .350 L and 6.5 Cm would be tempting IF I could get past the "Made in Portugal" stamp. YMMV

Interesting…..NOT.🥴

Sure wish they’d just quit dodging us lefties and start making the Model 70 in LH again…..and in short-action calibers!🤔

Good grief Winchester! You’ve got everything required to make the rifles…just do it!

A limited run once a year…fwt in 7mm-08 would be a good starting point.😁

Unfortunately, we have to at least be somewhat pleased they are offering something in left hand. Unlike Ruger, Kimber, and others that dropped us completely or refuse to even bring any out.

Surprised they didn't go heavier on SHOT show announcements with the 400. And they aren't even offering it in the LH camo models.
And not sure what the thought was with bringing the 450 to their models, when they have 2 cartridges of their own design competing with it.

Hmmm. The .223 has 1-8 twist. I guess I will have to take a look at them.

Interested also.

How does it compare to tikka?

Both now have a lh 6.5prc

Xpr in 20” vs tikka in 24”

Another epic introduction and production fail by Winchester. The 400 was hunted with in prototype models in the fall of 2022. Introduction was delayed until SHOT 2024. Are rifles on the shelf now that they have been announced? NOPE.

Winchester is taking orders from dealers and distributors from Feb. 1st to April 7th. After that, new models will go into production based on orders. They are saying shipping will be the third quarter of 2024. Last year it was early September. Also, some of the SHOT show models are limited production, and must be ordered now to even have a chance at getting one. Once the orders are filled, that's it for the year.
Are these rifles or new model vehicles at an auto show?

I was considering a LH XPR. No longer. Today I called the special order shop at Savage and explained what I was looking for. They said I will have it in 8-10 weeks, even with a custom barrel on a non-cataloged configuration.
