I may want to sell a 5R Rock #2 contour chrome moly barrel for a Remington 700. It is 22" long and chambered in .280 Remington with a matte black finish. It has less than 100 rounds through it. If I decide to sell, what is a reasonable asking price? Thanks.

Most factory Remington barrels sell for $100-$150 so I would say 200ish. Most gun makers want to use their preferred brand and so do the shooters.

What twist and contour?

200 bucks or so would be fair for a used barrel. Rocks are pretty danged good.

Yep, 200-225. But would probably want some targets for proof in how it performed.

I'd like to know who cut the chamber as well.

Chance it might headspace fine on new action but if it didn't and needs gunsmith work, then I want to make sure I'm not chasing good after bad so to speak.

Something I haven't saw anyone ask, is it threaded for the standard action threads or are the threads "oversize" for an action that has been reworked?
